Girl of the West

The Girl of the West story is about our young Rodeo Ambassador, and how she helps promote “the western way of life and the western-type American girl” at our Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo and other events. Meet the Girl of the West:

Emma ConsidineEmma Considine—Girl of the West

2025 Girl of the West, Emma Considine, is the daughter of Craig and Mandie Considine. She has been deeply involved in the rodeo community, starting as the Kit Carson Ring Club Queen in 2022 and 2023 and as the Elizabeth Stampede Queen in 2024. Emma has competed in gymkhana buckle series for the past six years and was a member of the Kit Carson Drill Team for five years.

Emma graduated from Village High School in Colorado Springs and is currently studying Business Marketing at the University of Wyoming. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside with her brothers, skiing, rafting, and trail riding with friends.

Having grown up in Colorado Springs, the mission of the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo is important to Emma. She appreciates the sacrifices service members and their families make for all of us. She has friends and family currently serving in several branches of the United States military.

Emma rides her palomino gelding named Sandy.
